Dave has always been a keen sailor from the early days of winning the Welsh Schools nationals in his Mirror dinghy, through to the UK Youth Squad in his 420 and then, when he was too old for that, he moved onto International 14s, which, after owning his four or five 14 she and his crew Simon parted company and Dave had a break for 10 or so years before founding CoastWaterSports in 2013
