Well about 3 months ago a young lady phoned me up asking when the Gul Madgrip Gloves were coming into stock. They were a new product that hadn’t landed yet, I had a chat with her and found out that she didn’t need them for sailing but for an event that I hadn’t heard of before called ‘Tough Mudder‘. I didn’t think much of it at the time but she placed the order and I sent them when they came into stock.
Since then we have sold hundreds, and nearly all of them for competitors going to Tough Mudder, not just here in the UK either, but all around the world. The furthest I’ve sent some is to Australia! It turns out that Tough Mudder is a global phenomenon.
By far the most popular are the Madgrip Knuckler Gloves. That’s the only difference between the 2 colours. The grey ones have knuckle protection and the black don’t. Apart from that they are identical.
There are a lot more events planned worldwide, so I expect this wont be the last pair we have sold today!
