This 'emulsion bound' mat is designed for use with polyester resin or vinylester resin which will quickly break down the emulsion binder so that the mat can easily be laminated by brush or roller to follow the contours of the mould.

Emulsion bound CSM is not suitable for use with epoxy resin because the emulsion binder will not be broken down by epoxy, making the mat almost impossible to laminate with.
