Yak Attack MightyMount Switch

The YakAttack MightyMount Switch™ is a modern upgrade for kayaks using classic deck-mount hole patterns. Designed with the same footprint as old-school mounts, it lets you switch to a versatile platform that accepts today’s track-mounted accessories—without drilling additional holes. It’s fully compatible with the YakAttack LockNLoad™ mounting system and all MightyBolt accessories. For kayaks with pre-threaded inserts, additional hardware may be required.

Important:Do not use Loctite or any threadlocker that reacts with plastics.

Installation for Inflatable Kayaks

Use only the hardware labeled for inflatable installs.

1. Discard the nuts, washers, and long screws supplied for deck-mount installs.
2. Place the MightyMount Switch™ onto your YakAttack SwitchPad or other inflatable mounting base.
3. Locate the short 1/4-20 x 5/8" stainless screws from the bag marked “Hardware for Inflatable Installs.”
4. Insert a short screw into each hole of the MightyMount Switch.
5. Hand-tighten each screw with a Phillips screwdriver until snug.
6. Once all screws are started, fully tighten—being careful not to overtighten.

Installation for Rotomolded & ABS Kayaks

Do not use Loctite or any threadlocker that reacts with plastics.

1. Locate the hardware labeled “Hardware for Deck Mount Installs.”
2. Position the MightyMount Switch™ where you wish to install it.
3. Using one hole as a guide, drill the first hole with a 17/64” drill bit.
4. Drop a long 1/4-20 screw through the MightyMount Switch into the drilled hole to hold it in place.
5. Repeat drilling for the remaining mounting holes.
6. Remove all screws after the holes are drilled.
7. Apply marine sealant as desired inside holes and/or on the screw threads.
8. Install the first screw with washer and nut inside the hull, but do not fully tighten yet.
9. Repeat for the remaining screws.
10. After all screws are in place, fully tighten—again taking care not to overtighten.
