For warmth and windproof protection, the Middle Layer Salopettes are ideal. The soft shell fabric is treated with Durable Water Repellent (DWR) that causes water to bead off the salopettes so you can wear these as an outer layer in light spray or for warmth beneath waterproof outer layers. You also can be sure of durability with the reinforced seat and crotch gusset. The ergonomic fit ensures minimal bulk and you have maximum freedom of movement with the 4-way stretch panels across the shoulders for active sailing. This will become your mid layer essential.
