The Radar Vapor Pro Build Steel is a tournament-level slalom waterski created for skiers who demand maximum speed, control and efficiency from gate to gate. Designed by Matt Rini and hand-crafted at Radar Lake, the Vapor is engineered to create space in the course with minimal effort and absolute precision.

The 2026 Vapor focuses on hydrodynamic efficiency from tip to tail, studying how water behaves as it meets and moves along the ski. Particular attention is given to diffraction — the way water bends around edges — and how forward-moving turbulence can disrupt balance, stall turns or reduce angle through the course. To counter this, the Vapor blends three complementary rocker lines that smooth water flow and stabilise stance throughout the turn.

This refined rocker interaction reduces wasted movement, allowing uninterrupted acceleration from the apex to the wakes and a stronger, more controlled line across the course. The Vapor does not force a position or fight the skier; instead, it follows subtle input, delivering a predictable, balanced platform when precision matters most.

The Pro Build construction is designed for competitive performance when every quarter-buoy counts. A lightweight PMI core is paired with Textreme® spread tow carbon to produce the Pro Build’s defining characteristic — unmatched yet controllable speed to the first wake. Advanced materials, zonal flex tuning and meticulous layup result in a ski built for elite-level response, acceleration and consistency.

The redesigned Attitude-Control Tunnel is central to the Vapor’s performance. Development began at the very tip of the ski, focusing on how top rocker and tunnel rocker interact as the ski enters the turn. This balance creates a stable, predictable platform as the tip engages, allowing the skier to attack the turn with confidence. Enhanced waterflow efficiency throughout the ski ensures stability under load and precision during aggressive course skiing.
